JOB TITLE:         Staff Registered Nurse

HOURS OF WORK:
Part-Time / On Call
8AM-5PM on Tuesdays - On Call Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
No Benefits Provided

WAGE:
Dependent upon experience and qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:
The staff oncology nurse provides excellent professional nursing care, under the direction of the oncology group physicians and practitioners, to the oncology department patients.

 SIGNIFICANT DUTIES:
PATIENT CARE:
Assess patients throughout their course of treatment and recovery period establishing appropriate documentation on nursing record.
Start IVs, Access Central lines, and administer medications ordered by the physician; instituting appropriate patient monitoring techniques.
Prepare patients chemotherapy; through education explanation and education.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
Must posses a valid Registered Nursing license in the state of Oregon.
