JOHN W. BRAZER, M.D.
Coquille
Dr. Brazer earned his B.A. in Biology form Cornell of Iowa in 1964, and
graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1969,
where he became a member of the Phi Rho Sigma Medical Fraternity, lota.
Dr. Brazer completed Rotating Internship at Harkness Hospital in San
Francisco, California, in 1970. He obtained Advanced Trauma Life
Support Certification in 1987 and 1995. Dr. Brazer is board certified
by the American Board of Family Practice. |

DALLAS A. CARTER, M.D.
Coos Bay
Dr. Carter graduated with honors from the University of Oregon in 1982.
He received both his medical degree and his Master's Degree in
Physiology from the Oregon Health Sciences University in 1987. He
continued his studies in a Family Practice Residency in Madison,
Wisconsin. After graduating from residency, he became Board Certified
in Family Practice and spent two years in private practice in Madison.
Dr. Carter is a member of the Oregon Medical Association and the
American Association of Family Practitioners. |

WILLIAM CROSON, MD
Coquille
Dr. Croson completed his Doctorate of Medicine at University of
Illinois in Chicago and did his Internship & Family Residency
at University of Illinois in Urbana and then Peoria. Dr. Croson is
Board Certified through the American Board of Family Medicine and is a
member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Pain
Management and the Oregon Medical Association. |

JON C. COUNTS, M.D.
Myrtle Point
Dr. Counts is a graduate of University of Oregon at Eugene, Oregon and
Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, Oregon. He completed his
Residency at University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Counts was
born in Roseburg, Oregon. He practiced in British Columbia for six
years, and then in Salem before settling in Myrtle Point in 1984. He
and his wife have two grown children. He also enjoys fly fishing and
gardening. Dr. Counts Joined Coquille Valley Hospital medical staff in
1984. He joined NBMC in February 2005. |

AUDREY DUKE, FNP
Coos Bay
Audrey was born in Medford, OR. She received her BS in
Nursing in 1998 from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland,
Oregon and her MSN and FNP Certification from University of Portland in
2000. She received her Board Certification for Perioperative
Nursing CNOR in 1994 and National FNP Board Certification through the
American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2002. Audrey is a
member of the Oregon Nurses Association and a volunteer for Missions in
Health. |

ROBERT W. GERBER, M.D.
Coos Bay
Dr. Gerber graduated from the Canal Zone College/Gorgas U.S. Army
Hospital in 1983, earning a B.S. His medical degree was awarded in 1987
from the University of Medical Sciences, San Jose, Costa Rica. While
living in Central America he became fluent in Spanish. Dr. Gerber
received postgraduate training at the University of Miami, completing a
three year Family Practice residency in 1992. He is a Diplomate of and
board certified by the American Board of Family Practice. |

E. REED GURNEY JR.,

Point
Dr. Gurney is a graduate of Oregon Health Sciences
University School of Medicine, Portland, Oregon. He completed his
Residency at San Bernardino County Medical Center, San Bernardino,
California. Dr. Gurney was born in Portland, Oregon. He began
his practice in 1977, following in his father's footsteps and
practicing beside him for several years. Time spent away from his
practice is spent with his wife and four children, three of whom are in
college. He also enjoys fishing, camping with his family, and
gardening. He joined the Coquille Valley Hospital medical staff in
1977. He joined NBMC in February 2005. |

NANCY KELLER, M.D.
Coquille
Dr. Keller earned her bachelor of arts degree in mathematics and
biology from the University of Oregon in 1987 and graduated Cum Laude
from Oregon Health Science University School of Medicine in 1989. She
completed her family practice residency at the University of Utah in
Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1992. She has been a practicing family
physician in Coquille ever since graduating from her residency in July
1992. She enjoys obstetrics and pediatrics, as well as the full range
of family practice. |

THOMAS F. McANDREW,
M.D. Coos
Bay
Dr. McAndrew received his B.A. in Zoology in 1977 from Humbolt State
University, Arcata, California. His Masters of Public Health was
obtained from UCLA School of Public Health in 1980 with a special
emphasis on nutrition and epidemiology. His Medical Degree was awarded
from the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, in 1985.
A three year Family Practice residency program was completed at Scenic
General Hospital, Modesto, California. Dr. McAndrew is certified by the
American Board of Family Practice. Dr. McAndrew is a member of the
Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. |

JONATHON L. PARK, M.D.
Coos Bay
Dr. Park was raised in Los Angeles, California. He received his
Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Biology/Religious
studies from University of California, Santa Cruz, California. He
received his medical degree from Universidad Central Del Caribe School
of Medicine in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He completed his Family Practice
Residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. He is a
Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army National Guard and an Iraq
and Afghanistan War Veteran. Dr. Park practiced in Conneaut, Ohio for
three years prior to joining NBMC in 2002. Dr. Park is a member of the
American Academy of Family Physicians, Association of Military Surgeons
of the United States, American Medical Association, and Oregon Medical
Association. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family
Practice. Practice Philosophy: “To provide compassionate and
comprehensive health care to a community and to those in need”. |

STEPHANIE A.
RICCALARSEN, M.D.
Coos Bay
Dr. Riccalarsen received her B.S from Oregon State University with a
major in Biology. She received her medical degree at Creighton
University Medical Center in Omaha Nebraska where she trained from 2002
to 2006 and then completed one year of residency there before she
switched programs in 2007. She completed her two year Family Medicine
Residency at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha in 2009.
Dr. Riccalarsen is a member of the Oregon Medical Association and Board
Eligible in Family Medicine. |

CHARLES M. ROESEL,
M.D. Coquille
Dr. Roesel is a graduate of American University of
the Caribbean. He completed his residency at Deaconess Hospital in
Evansville, Indiana. Dr. Roesel grew up in Petersburg,
Alaska. He graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic West in
Sunnyvale, California. He was in practice in Petersburg, Alaska for
four years and then went back to medical school. He is married, has
five children and enjoys running, biking and hiking with his family.
Dr. Roesel joined the Coquille Valley Hospital medical staff in
1997. He joined NBMC in February 2005. |

KENT D. SHARMAN, M.D.

Dr. Sharman received his B.S. from the University of California at
Davis in 1976 and his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New
York in 1980. He received postgraduate training at the University of
California at Davis, completing a Family Practice residency in 1983. He
is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and a Diplomate of the
American Board of Family Practice, becoming board certified in 1983. He
is a volunteer member of the faculty at OHSU School of Medicine. Dr.
Sharman offers comprehensive family-oriented health services, including
medical, pediatric and obstetrical care. |

JAMES J. SINNOTT, M.D.
Coquille
Dr. Sinnott is
a graduate of the University of Iowa at Iowa City, Iowa. He
completed his residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines,
Iowa. Dr. Sinnott was born in Des Moines, Iowa. After
practicing a year in Coquille, he joined the Myrtle Point Medical
Center. He lives just outside Coquille and spends time away from his
practice with his wife and three children. He also enjoys woodworking.
He joined the Coquille Valley Hospital medical staff in 1984 and was
elected Chief of the Medical Staff in January 1994. He joined
NBMC in February 2005. |

SUSAN SMITH, M.D.
Coos Bay
Dr. Smith was born in Alabama. She trained from
1981 to 1985 at Emory University School of Medicine and then completed
a Surgery Residency at East Tennessee State University. She practiced
surgery in the Air Force during Desert Storm. After leaving the Air
Force, she began a medical mission in Tanzania which lasted ten years
and then returned to the United States and enrolled in a Family
Medicine Residency Program at the University of Tennessee in 2004 and
completed her residency in 2007. Dr. Smith has a strong commitment to
humanity and is a dedicated patient advocate.

CARLOS SUAREZ, M.D.

Dr.
Carlos Suarez received his medical degree at Universidad Cayetano
Heredia ( LIMA - PERU )and was licensed in Peru in 2000. Later in 2003
he attended East Tennessee State University in Kingsport where he
completed his Family Medicine Residency program in 2006. In addition to
Family Medicine, Dr. Suarez went to several training programs to
supplement his alternative medicine knowledge such as the prestigious
Helms Medical Institute ( Berkeley California ) for his Medical
Acupuncture Training, Wake Forest University for Nutrition and Herbal
Medicine, University of Arizona with Dr. Andrew Weil for Nutrition, the
Upledger Institute for Craniosacral therapy and the American Society of
Clinical Hypnosis. Dr. Suarez joined North Bend Medical Center at our
Bandon location in December 2006. |

LAWRENCE E. TAYLOR,

Dr. (Ted) Taylor received his degree from the University of Missouri in
1976. After graduating from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine
in 1980, he completed a rotating internship at the Flint Osteopathic
Hospital. Dr. Taylor is board certified in Family Practice by the
American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He is a member of the
Oregon Medical Association, the Curry Medical Society, and the
Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of Oregon. |

School in 1971. He completed his internship and family practice

Suzie was born in Hastings, NE. She received her BA in Social Welfare
in 1984 and BS in Nursing in 1986 at Humbolt State University in
Arcata, CA. She received her MSN at Western University of Health
Sciences in Pomona, CA in 1999 and her Family Nurse Practitioner
certification in 1999. Suzie received her National FNP Board
Certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center in April
2007. She is also a member of the American Association of Diabetic
Educators. |
